The SUCCEED® FBT combines the easy-to-use features of rapid ELISA technology — the gold standard for simple field diagnostics — with completely new technology for a revolutionary approach to equine GI health diagnostics.
The SUCCEED® FBT utilizes exclusive SmartSignal™ Technology, new proprietary antibody technology (patent pending), highly sensitive and specific to particular protein components in equine blood.
The FBT consists of two parts right on one convenient test cassette. The antibody technology detects two protein markers specific to equine blood. Test A detects equine albumin from sources caudal to the common bile duct in the duodenum. Test H detects equine hemoglobin from sources at any location along the GI tract. Taken together, the two parts of the test may provide a means of distinguishing foregut and hindgut issues in horses.
